The Agile Process Implementation for Online Programming Courses - Twitter Development Project from the Technical Manager's Perspective

Image
We collaborated with AlphaCamp to improve the curriculum and project process. We attempted to introduce the Agile development process into the Twitter development project conducted during the third semester. The introduction of the Agile development process into the project was primarily because AlphaCamp identified that even after students acquired knowledge and left AlphaCamp, some still felt unprepared to adapt to the practical work environment. In order to ensure that students could truly master the skills and collaborative techniques required for project execution in the industry, this collaborative effort was initiated. During the two-week project, we conducted a total of three sprint checks, corresponding to the processes of sprint planning, sprint refinement, and sprint demo within each sprint. The modification of the sprint process was mainly aligned with the timeline constraint of the AC Twitter project, which had a two-week duration. Sprint Check 1: Sprint Planning +

RSG TAIPEI 2023 - Agilists! Assemble

Upon receiving an invitation from Hermes, the Chief Captain of the Agile Community Taiwan, I assisted in organizing volunteers and expanding the student market. Initially, when Hermes asked for my help with the Regional Scrum Gathering TAIPEI 2023 event, I thought it would be a casual endeavor, perhaps just lending a hand for some fun—little did I know it would consume so much of my time. Throughout the three days of the event, from organizing RSG to its conclusion, I found myself struggling between Tainan and Taipei several times. However, I am grateful that, due to my persistence, I experienced a series of unique and unexpected agile journeys. Since the revival of Agile in Kaohsiung, I had expressed to Hermes my desire to extend the reach of agile practices to universities and even high schools due to my close relationship with students from elementary school to university, owing to the nature of my company. Hermes fully supported this idea, so for this RSG, we offered very affordab

A fiction film production - Prenuptial Invoice

Many people don't understand why we made this short film. They fail to comprehend why a group of individuals secluded themselves day and night, indulging in self-imagination, to complete this less-than-10-minute short film. What is the purpose behind it all? It's akin to the message conveyed in the movie "Soul," which emphasizes to the audience, "Life is inherently meaningless; the meaning of life is something you create for yourself." Reviewing the independently implemented course of this semester, it felt like organizing a six-month-long wedding, starting from the teacher encouraging us to brainstorm ideas for our classroom story. We went on to discuss the script, plot synopsis, storyline, brief plot overview, scene outline, character introduction, character profiles, and character relationship diagrams. The process continued with casting, location scouting, set design, rehearsals, blocking, and finally, the production and completion of the work. Initially

How I Introduced Agile into the EHS company within three years

Let me share a story from my backpacking trip around the island five years ago, illustrating the process of team formation and task execution. Before witnessing the beautiful landscapes, one must persist through dark and directionless tunnels. I used to work as an engineer for a few years and then transitioned into a project management role for three to four years. Influenced by Agile and Scrum thinking, I became a pure Scrum Master hired by the company at that time to implement Scrum. After about six months of some success with the implementation, there was an unexpected organizational change, and the company no longer employed pure Scrum Masters. Many key figures, including supervisors and agile-minded colleagues, left. Even the leader and core members of the frontend team departed. Then the CTO, noticing my background in frontend development and project management, asked, "The frontend team is seriously lacking talent now and needs an experienced person to lead. Would you like

The agile journey in St. Kitts and Nevis

In September 2020, I set off for Taiwanese diplomatic ally in Central America – Saint Kitts and Nevis, where I served as overseas information and technology volunteer. Upon arriving in the United States for a layover, I suited up in full COVID protective gear before boarding the plane. In Puerto Rico, I took a seven-seater small aircraft to reach the island of St. Kitts. On the fifth day of quarantine, I was immediately assigned a challenging task by the manager in Taiwan Technical Mission. The task was to create a Chinese version of the Tax Bureau Brochure. This not only required computer skills but also demanded graphic design abilities. Fortunately, this happened to be my forte, representing essential skills for a cross-functional talent in the frontend. While I was already familiar with Illustrator, using Microsoft Publisher was a first-time experience. However, it proved to be user-friendly, and I managed to resolve the task within a day. After the quarantine period concluded, I
